Is Starry free?
Yes. Starry is free to download and use with one app. Starry Pro unlocks unlimited apps, multi-country tracking, saved reviews, notes, translation, AI sentiment analysis, and advanced filters.
Do I need App Store Connect credentials?
No. Starry reads publicly available App Store reviews. You never enter App Store Connect credentials, so your developer account stays private.
Can I track competitor apps?
Yes. You can add any app available on the App Store and monitor its public reviews across the countries you choose.
How do review notifications work?
Starry uses iOS background fetch to periodically check for new reviews and schedule local notifications on your device. Timing depends on iOS background activity, so checks are periodic rather than instantaneous in every case.
Does Starry sync across my devices?
Yes. Saved reviews, private notes, and related preferences sync via iCloud / CloudKit when you are signed into iCloud on your devices.
How does translation work?
Starry uses Apple’s on-device Translation APIs when available, so you can read App Store reviews in your preferred language without leaving the app.
Is AI sentiment analysis private?
Sentiment analysis runs on-device using Apple language models when available. Review text used for sentiment is intended to stay on your device for that feature. Availability depends on your device and OS.
Which devices does Starry support?
Starry is built for iPhone, and also supports iPad and Mac where available on the App Store. Some features depend on your OS version and Apple system APIs.
How do I cancel Starry Pro or a free trial?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside the app paywall alone:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Starry → Cancel Subscription
Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Starry, go to Settings, and use Restore Purchase while signed into the same Apple ID you used to buy Starry Pro.
